Basketball Recap: St. James Academy Beats Olathe Northwest for Their Fourth Straight Win

St. James Academy extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Regan Becker. The St. James Academy Thunder breezed by the Olathe Northwest Ravens to the tune of 62-34 on Thursday thanks in part to Becker, who went 9 of 10 en route to 23 points and eight boards. The matchup was her third in a row with at least ten points.

Riley Kerwin was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine assists. Those nine assists gave her a new career-high.

St. James Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Olathe Northwest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

St. James Academy and Shawnee Mission Northwest will face off at 8:15 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in St. James Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
