The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Discovery Christian has struggled recently with nine defeats in a row, while Sylva Bay Academy will arrive with three straight victories.

Discovery Christian came up short against Sylva Bay Academy on Tuesday, falling 14-2.

For Sylva Bay Academy's part, Tripp Mcgee was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, Mcgee posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Sylva Bay Academy let Levi West and Parker Webb run wild. West went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run, while Webb scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits West has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Miller, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Sylva Bay Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive contests.

Sylva Bay Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Discovery Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
