Volleyball Game Preview: Kewanee Boilermakers vs. Mendota Trojans + How To Watch

The Kewanee Boilermakers will head out to face off against the Mendota Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kewanee will be strutting in after a victory while Mendota will be coming in after a loss.

Kewanee is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since October 4th on Monday. They won by a set and slipped past Monmouth-Roseville 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Boilermakers in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won three in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Kewanee who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 24-26, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Mendota didn't have quite enough to beat Streator on Saturday and fell 2-1. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Mendota sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-19, 18-25, 25-21.

Kewanee's win bumped their record up to 14-15-1. As for Mendota, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-26-1.

Kewanee was able to grind out a solid victory over Mendota when the teams last played back in September, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Boilermakers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
