Basketball Recap: Galesburg Comes Up Short

After flying high against Comer last Saturday, Galesburg came back down to earth. The Galesburg Silver Streaks took a hard 71-54 fall against the Limestone Rockets on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Silver Streaks in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now lost three in a row.

Galesburg's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Limestone, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-10.

Galesburg and Limestone could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Galesburg will take on Rock Island at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 353 places (367 vs. 14). Meanwhile, Limestone (ranked 235th) will meet East Peoria (ranked 79th) at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
