Baseball Recap: Whiteville Comes Up Short

Whiteville lost against First Flight back in June of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wolfpack took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nighthawks. The Wolfpack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Whiteville's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for First Flight, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Whiteville will host South Columbus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wolfpack 3, the Stallions 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for First Flight, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-2 defeat against Northern Nash on the 22nd.
