Softball Recap: Desert Christian Eagles vs. St. Augustine Catholic Wolves        
        
		
            
 Desert Christian can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent  game  on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by  an  11-1 margin over the St. Augustine Catholic Wolves. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Desert Christian also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2023.
  Kaitlyn Farias made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. Farias was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Alexa Yarger and  Lilly Crawford did most of the damage at the plate:  Yarger  fired off two  home runs, three  runs,  and four  RBI while going 3-for-3, while  Crawford  went 3-for-4 with five  RBI, three  doubles,  and two  runs.  Emmy Welch was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
 Desert Christian's victory bumped their record up to 14-4-1. As for St. Augustine Catholic, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with that  loss, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Desert Christian will be playing at home against Ray at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. Desert Christian knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  team has finished with flashy  run totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Ray likes a good challenge. As for St. Augustine Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Leading Edge Academy - GEC at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday. St. Augustine Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.8  runs per game  this season.
