Recap: Sherman Oaks CES Knights vs. Canoga Park Hunters

If the Sherman Oaks CES Knights were feeling good off their 70-50 takedown of the East Valley Falcons last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Sherman Oaks CES took a 65-46 bruising from Canoga Park on Monday. Sherman Oaks CES was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Canoga Park apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

When it comes to explaining why Sherman Oaks CES lost, one person who can't be blamed is Evan O'Daniel. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of David Gasanov, who scored ten points along with two steals.

Sherman Oaks CES's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-13. As for Canoga Park, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-16.

Sherman Oaks CES will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Northridge Academy at 4:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Northridge Academy is ranked 843rd, while Sherman Oaks CES is ranked 853rd). As for Canoga Park, they will head out on the road to face off against Sylmar at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Sylmar's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
