Baseball Game Preview: Nashua South Purple Panthers vs. Alvirne Broncos

The Nashua South Purple Panthers will face off against the Alvirne Broncos at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 14 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Nashua South and five for Alvirne.

Things were looking good for Nashua South after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Bishop Guertin by a score of 9-7.

Nashua South got a good showing from Brendon Doighty, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Kosay Tanaka made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Collin Kochanek, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Meanwhile, Alvirne came up short against Windham on Monday and fell 4-1. The match marked the Broncos' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Nashua South's record now sits at 0-4. As for Alvirne, their record is now 1-5.
