Giltner falls despite strong effort from Cooper Reeson

Recap: Giltner Hornets vs. Gibbon Buffaloes

The Giltner Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Gibbon 50-45.

When it comes to explaining why Giltner lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cooper Reeson. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reeson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Larson, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.

Giltner's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Gibbon, their win bumped their record up to 3-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Giltner will take on Red Cloud at TBD on Thursday. Red Cloud will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Gibbon, they will be playing at home against Fillmore Central at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Fillmore Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Gibbon in Nebraska (Fillmore Central is ranked 19th, while Gibbon is ranked 250th).
