Volleyball Recap: Glendale Falcons vs. Nevada Tigers
The Glendale Falcons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Nevada Tigers on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.
Elle Givens paced Glendale's offense, picking up 14 kills. Givens got some help from Klaire Miner and her 19 assists. Ady Buzbee and Ivy Flinn kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alatna Snyder, who had 11 assists and five digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Halle Hawks, who had nine digs.
Glendale's win bumped their record up to 13-5-3. As for Nevada, their loss dropped their record down to 18-6-2.
Glendale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Mt. Vernon on the 4th. As for Nevada, they will square off against Lamar at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
