Baseball Game Preview: Bigelow Panthers vs. Quitman Bulldogs

The Bigelow Panthers will face off against the Quitman Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Tuesday, Bigelow came up short against Conway Christian and fell 4-1.

Bigelow saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Arturo Cabrera, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Cabrera also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Quitman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of South Side.

Quitman now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Bigelow, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

Everything went Bigelow's way against Quitman in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, as Bigelow made off with a 17-0 victory. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
