Basketball Recap: Cypress Christian Takes a Loss

If Cypress Christian was feeling good fresh off their 54-31 takedown of Providence Classical last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cypress Christian Warriors fell just short of the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers by a score of 35-32 on Friday. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Cypress Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Lutheran South Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-8 record.

Cypress Christian will venture away from home to square off against Trinity at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Cypress Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lutheran South Academy, they will welcome Houston Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lutheran South Academy is facing Houston Christian at the right time seeing as Houston Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
