Santa Monica has no trouble against Troy

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Santa Monica Vikings walked away with it. They strolled past Troy with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 35-20. The win made it back-to-back wins for Santa Monica.

Caden Mccallum continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 72 yards and three touchdowns. David Solis-Valdovinos made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Troy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Mundt, who rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Declan Kai healey was another key contributor, picking up 96 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Santa Monica's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Troy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5.

Santa Monica will head out on the road to face off against Kaiser at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Kaiser is ranked 257th, while Santa Monica is ranked 235th). Troy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
