Soccer Game Preview: Granger vs. Hunter

The Granger Lancers will challenge the Hunter Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Granger comes in on seven and Hunter on three.

On Thursday, Granger got the win against West Jordan by a conclusive 7-1. Granger might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting West Jordan from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Adrian Hernandez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Hunter gave up the first goal on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Wolverines who were credited with the victory. Hunter got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Cyprus' two.

Granger's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those six contests. As for Hunter, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Everything went Granger's way against Hunter in their previous meeting back in March, as Granger made off with a 4-1 victory. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
