Soccer Recap: Village Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Village Christian Academy came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against The O'Neal School, falling 5-1. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Village Christian Academy's goal came courtesy of Reese Ferrell, who's now up to ten this season.

Village Christian Academy moved to 3-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for The O'Neal School, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.

Coincidentally, Village Christian Academy and The O'Neal School will both be playing Fayetteville Christian the next time they take the pitch. Village Christian Academy will head out to face Fayetteville Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while The O'Neal School will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
