Volleyball Recap: LEE Volunteers vs. Churchill Chargers
LEE was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Churchill Chargers. The Volunteers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 21-25, 25-9, 25-19.
Leading Churchill to victory were Kenadie Pina and Sara Felts. Pina had 21 digs, three aces, and a kill, while Felts had 14 digs, seven kills, and two aces. That's the most aces Pina has posted since back in August.
LEE now has a losing record at 15-16. As for Churchill, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-13 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. LEE will face off against Clark at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Churchill, they will take on Madison at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
