Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Ogallala

Ogallala waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 48-39 victory over the Chase County Longhorns. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-36 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ogallala to victory, but perhaps none more so than Laney Caskey, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards. Caskey is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aniston O'Neil, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 14 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Ogallala's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Chase County, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Ogallala wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-41 defeat against Bridgeport on the 22nd. Chase County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
