Volleyball Recap: McComb Takes a Loss

McComb lost against Carey back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 3-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

McComb was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Carey work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-15, 26-24, 22-25, 15-4.

Morgan Kern paced McComb's offense, picking up 23 kills. Kern got some help from Claire Bryan and her 29 assists.

McComb now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Carey, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

McComb has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Leipsic on the 6th. As for Carey, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Wynford on the 7th.
