Baseball Recap: Willard Comes Up Short

The Willard Crimson Flashes came up short against the Lucas Cubs on Friday and fell 6-3.

Willard saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Reed, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was Reed's first of the season.

Willard has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Lucas, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Willard will take on Port Clinton at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Lucas, they will face off against Clear Fork at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
