 Springfield Township won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune  on Saturday. They fell victim to a  rough 10-1 defeat at the hands of the Bensalem Fighting Owls. The  loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Springfield Township in their matchups with Bensalem: they've now lost seven in a row.
 Springfield Township saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Nathan Levy, who  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 Springfield Township's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Bensalem, their win  ended  a  six-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-7.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield Township will  face off against Plymouth Whitemarsh at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. Plymouth Whitemarsh will roll in looking for their  ninth straight  victory, something Springfield Township surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bensalem, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Central Bucks South at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday.
