Football Recap: Carmel Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Carmel came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Salinas Cowboys, falling 49-24. The Padres were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-8.

Carmel moved to 5-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Salinas, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Carmel and Salinas should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Padres (ranked 328th) will meet Pacific Grove (ranked 715th) at 7:00 p.m. on November 8. Meanwhile, Salinas will face off against Alisal at 7:30 p.m. on November 7 with a big rank advantage (152 vs. 360).
