Basketball Recap: Robert C. Byrd Comes Up Short

Robert C. Byrd has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 57-44 to the Hampshire Trojans on Tuesday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Robert C. Byrd's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Hampshire, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

Coming up, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles take on the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hampshire, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mountain Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.3 points per game this season.
