Volleyball Recap: Licking Valley Panthers vs. Heath Bulldogs
Licking Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Heath Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
Licking Valley was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Heath work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 31-29, 25-15, 21-25, 25-21.
Heath can attribute much of their success to Bradlee Higgins, who had 26 digs.
Licking Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Heath, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.
