Basketball Game Preview: Enid Plainsmen vs. Northwest Classen Knights

The Enid Plainsmen will head out on the road to take on the Northwest Classen Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Friday, Enid lost to Jenks at home by a 54-38 margin. The game marked the Plainsmen's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Northwest Classen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Broken Arrow and fell 79-52. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Tigers are ranked first).

Northwest Classen's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Enid, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.

Enid beat Northwest Classen 75-64 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Enid since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
