It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Coleman ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Fulton Pirates 8-7. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Klaira Sysak, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kendall Allen, who earned two runs and one stolen base.

Coleman picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 7-13. As for Fulton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Coleman beat the Pirates by a score of 22-7 later that day.
