Recap: West Union Dragons vs. Manchester Greyhounds
The West Union Dragons's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 51-43 victory over Manchester. That's another feather in the cap for West Union, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Ashlah Staten was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with four steals. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Stout, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds.
West Union has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Manchester, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
West Union and Eastern will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Manchester, they will head out on the road to face off against Lynchburg-Clay at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Lynchburg-Clay's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Manchester has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
