Aidan Lopez tossed a big game, tossing 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Max Ogden, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Nate Stillman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Bradshaw Christian came out on top against Burbank on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fifth inning. The Pride put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pride, who have now won 19 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Ethan Quach made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Quach was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Landon Carter was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Evan Rickert, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Bradshaw Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Casa Roble pushed their record up to 20-9 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Bradshaw Christian, their record is now 24-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Casa Roble has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bradshaw Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
