Softball Recap: Tinley Park Snags Seventh Win in Last Nine Games

Tinley Park lost to Lyons back in May of 2018, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Titans were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Lions. Considering the Titans have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Emily Korduplewski was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Korduplewski was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Lilia Flores was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Kolk, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Tinley Park has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-12 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Lyons, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-18.

As of now, neither Tinley Park nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
