Basketball Game Preview: Carrollton Warriors vs. West Branch Warriors

Carrollton is 1-9 against West Branch since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Carrollton Warriors will be playing at home against the West Branch Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Carrollton sitting on four straight victories and West Branch on eight.

Last Wednesday, Carrollton didn't have too much trouble with Salem as they won 56-39. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Quakers are ranked 427th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, West Branch strolled past Ursuline with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 43-29.

West Branch's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.6 points per game. As for Carrollton, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Carrollton, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 42-28 loss to West Branch when the teams last played back in December of 2024.
