Soccer Game Preview: Evansville Memorial vs. Floyd Central

The Evansville Memorial Tigers will square off against the Floyd Central Highlanders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Evansville Memorial sitting on five straight wins and Floyd Central on eight.

Evansville Memorial is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let Evansville North get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Evansville Memorial wouldn't have won without Avery Slade, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Floyd Central won against New Albany on Thursday with four goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Saturday. The Highlanders blew past Seymour 4-0. Considering Floyd Central have won ten contests by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Floyd Central's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Evansville Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3-1.
