Carterville is a perfect 4-0 against Newton since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Lions will challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Carterville sitting on five straight wins and Newton on six.

Carterville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Anna-Jonesboro by a score of 4-1.

Meanwhile, while Newton put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Columbia. Newton had just enough and edged out Columbia 1-0.

Newton's victory bumped their record up to 26-2. As for Carterville, their win bumped their record up to 27-4.
