Baseball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Shaler Area's 12th in Last 14 Outings

Shaler Area had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Monday. This was payback for the Titans, who suffered a 5-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Shaler Area is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-7.
