Softball Game Preview: Agua Dulce Longhorns vs. Port Aransas Marlins

Agua Dulce is 2-8 against Port Aransas since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Longhorns will host the Marlins at 4:30 p.m. Agua Dulce will be strutting in after a win while Port Aransas will be coming in after a defeat.

Agua Dulce proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 21) and last Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Kenedy 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Longhorns have posted since February 25th.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Port Aransas and Woodsboro had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Marlins lost 14-4 to the Eagles on Friday. Marlins fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Eagles since on Friday.

Port Aransas now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Agua Dulce, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.

Agua Dulce took their victory against Port Aransas in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 24-0 score. Do the Longhorns have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Marlins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
