Baseball Recap: Sparks Find Success

Sparks won the last time they faced Hug and things went their way on Monday too. The Railroaders came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Railroaders.

Tayte Thomas and Jaxin Burley made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Thomas tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Burley didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 16 over six innings pitched. Thomas has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Thomas went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI, while Burley went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI Thomas has posted since back in March.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Rogers, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

Sparks' record is now 3-22. As for Hug, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

As of now, neither Sparks nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
