Softball Recap: Riverbend Bears vs. Louisa County Lions
After flying high against Courtland last Monday, Riverbend came back down to earth. The Riverbend Bears fell just short of the Louisa County Lions by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.
Isa Barber was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ryleigh Livesay, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Riverbend's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverbend will take on Massaponax at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give Riverbend their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Louisa County, they will challenge Spotsylvania at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
