Recap: Northview Chiefs vs. W.S. Neal Eagles
The Northview Chiefs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 44-33 to W.S. Neal. Northview has not had much luck with W.S. Neal recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Northview lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being AUSTIN DONSFORD, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points DONSFORD has scored all season. Another player making a difference was JACOB SPENCE, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Northview has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for W.S. Neal, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northview won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Baker at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. Baker will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for W.S. Neal, W.S. Neal and T.R. Miller will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (T.R. Miller is ranked 325th, while W.S. Neal is ranked 340th).
