Baseball Recap: Eastern York Finds Home Field Redemption Against Dover

There's no place like home for Eastern York, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Dover Eagles on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-2 back in April.

Not much got past Quinn Bramble, who gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Dover off the board. Bramble also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Eastern York is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-12 otherwise.

At the plate, Eastern York's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Parker Strayer, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Another was Brock Adams, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Eastern York's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Dover, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Eastern York does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dover, they will take on Biglerville at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Canners have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
