Soccer Game Preview: Mid-Buchanan vs. Benton

The Mid-Buchanan Dragons will venture away from home to challenge the Benton Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Mid-Buchanan didn't have quite enough to beat Bishop LeBlond and fell 5-4. Mid-Buchanan haven't had much luck with Bishop LeBlond recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Benton took on St. Joseph Christian on Tuesday. The Cardinals' defense stepped up to hand the Lions a 2-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Benton.

Mid-Buchanan's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8-1. As for Benton, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Everything went Mid-Buchanan's way against Benton when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Mid-Buchanan made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dragons since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
