League recap: District 13's Russellville jumps in national rankings

District 13 league recap: 5/29/12

Russellville made the biggest jump in the national rankings, moving from 6506 to 6043 thanks to a 2-1 record over the past week. The Panthers are currently No. 85 in the Kentucky state rankings, with an overall record of 34-10.

Logan County currently leads the league with a 26-14 record overall and a 7-0 mark during league play. Franklin-Simpson sits 2.5 games back in second, with a 5-3 record in league play.

Todd County Central boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks. On the season, the Rebels have allowed just 195 hits, while striking out 92 batters. Michael Rager leads the Rebels with 66 strikeouts in 72 innings pitched.
