Garrison had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Joaquin Rams a 20-0 shutout. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

Shelton Beavers made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

In other batting news, Garrison got a big performance out of Stryker Lloyd, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave Lloyd a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Richardson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Garrison always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .773. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Garrison's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Joaquin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-12 record this season.
