Football Recap: Bonney Lake Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Bonney Lake had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it five. They were outmatched by the Bethel Bison and fell 45-6. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Bison are ranked 33rd).

Aidan Samson threw for 50 yards on five of eight attempts. Chris Conte was his top target, picking up 44 receiving yards. On the ground, Gavin Davis rushed for 40 yards.

As for Bethel, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3. That looming 45-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bethel to victory, but perhaps none more so than Evan Barnes, who threw for 329 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.0 yards per attempt. Ramzak Fruean was Barnes' top target, picking up 160 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bonney Lake will welcome Emerald Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will be up against the Jaguars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.88 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bethel, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sumner at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bison surely won't give up without a fight.
