Verrado waltzed into their match on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came out on top against the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs by a score of 7-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-1 back in March.

Jill Ryan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Verrado let Kylie Bates and Jaiden Stell run wild. Bates went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run, while Stell went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Bates has posted over her last nine contests.

Verrado's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Sunrise Mountain, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-11.

As of now, neither Verrado nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
