Sam Huard, a 5-star quarterback from Kennedy Catholic (Burien, Wash.), is the third player to commit to the 2021 Polynesian Bowl, it was announced Thursday.

He joins 5-stars J.T. Tuimoloau of Eastside Catholic (Sammamish, Wash.) and Troy Franklin of Menlo-Atherton (Atherton, Calif.). Tuimoloau checks in as the No. 1 rated player in 2021 and Franklin is the top wide receiver and a Top 10 player overall.

Huard was the MaxPreps Freshman of the Year after an impressive first season and was named to the Sophomore All-American team last year. The 2021 Washington commit has thrown for 7,500 yards and 76 touchdowns through his first two seasons and checks in as the No. 8 player overall on 247sports.

Football runs in his blood. His dad, Damon, played in the NFL for a decade and was a star at Washington. His uncle Brock was also a big-time quarterback at Washington and played in the NFL for five years and is also one of the best color commentators in college football.

The Polynesian Bowl is turning into one of the hottest events in high school sports as it continues to grow every year. Expect more of the top players in the Class of 2021 to commit in the future. The 2020 game is already loaded led by players such as DJ Uiagalelei, Justin Flowe, Demond Demas, Johnny Wilson, Chris Tyree, Noah Sewell, Mekhail Sherman, Rakim Jarrett, Sav'ell Smalls, Kelee Ringo and Justin Rogers.
