Central Catholic hadn't done well against Norwin recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Central Catholic put the hurt on Norwin with a sharp 11-2 victory. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered an 8-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Josh McFadden looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Reece Hankinson and Landon Greene did most of the damage at the plate: Hankinson went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple, while Greene went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Yaniel Heredia, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one triple.

Central Catholic has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs this season. As for Norwin, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
