Soccer Recap: Giles County Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Giles County's offense. They lost 5-0 to the Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles on Monday. While losing is never fun, Giles County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 147th, while Shelbyville Central are ranked 44th).

Giles County now has a losing record of 6-7-3. As for Shelbyville Central, they pushed their record up to 10-3-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coming up, Giles County will welcome Coffee County Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shelbyville Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
