Football Recap: Brandon Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Brandon had lost eight straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-5 to make it nine. They were dealt a 62-6 loss at the hands of the Hillsborough Terriers. The Eagles lost against the Terriers in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 33-0 score last time.

Caleb Cole threw for 125 yards and one TD on only ten passes. Juju Jackson was his top target, picking up 75 receiving yards.

As for Hillsborough, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their seven-point performance the game before.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Tariq Johnson and Earl Garcia IV. Johnson rushed for 116 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries while Garcia IV rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns. Jacob Plaisir also helped with two TDs in total.

Brandon and Hillsborough will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Eagles see the field they'll take on Blake at 7:30 p.m. on October 10. As for Hillsborough, their break will end when they face Sumner at 7:30 p.m. on October 10.
