Basketball Recap: Althoff Catholic Comes Up Short

Althoff Catholic was the 50-36 winner over Freeburg when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Althoff Catholic Crusaders received a blow on Monday as they fell 53-39 to the Freeburg Midgets.

Despite the loss, Althoff Catholic still got an impressive performance from Kamora Davis, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. Davis is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Reece Distler, who posted six points and ten rebounds.

Althoff Catholic now has a losing record at 13-14. As for Freeburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 18-12 record this season.

Althoff Catholic has already played their next game, a 53-21 victory against Metro-East Lutheran on the 11th. As for Freeburg, they are taking a road trip to square off against Breese Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Breese Central will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Freeburg surely won't give up without a fight.
