Basketball Recap: Christian Community Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Christian Community won the last time they faced South Haven Christian and things went their way on Thursday too. The Christian Community Colts snuck past South Haven Christian with a 31-25 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Colts who have now won three matches in a row.

Christian Community had a senior duo take command as M.J. Dodd went 6 for 13 en route to 12 points and Makenzie Rigsby posted eight points in addition to nine rebounds and four steals. Those nine boards gave Rigsby a new career-high. B.J. Head was another key player, putting up seven points and six rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why South Haven Christian lost, don't look at Lily Weaver. Despite the final result, she earned eight points along with seven boards and three steals.

Christian Community's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for South Haven Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Highland Rim Academy the next time they take the court. South Haven Christian will host Highland Rim Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Christian Community will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
