            Basketball Recap: Hancock Panthers vs. Northern Garrett Huskies        
        
		
        
        
            Hancock unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against  the Northern Garrett Huskies on Thursday, falling  71-48. The Panthers have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
 Despite the  defeat, Hancock had strong showings from  Jacob Anderson, who  posted 15  points, and  Tucker Welch, who  scored ten  points. Another player making a difference was  Ethan Hill, who  put up eight points.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hancock won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Bishop Walsh  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Hancock is facing Bishop Walsh at the right time seeing as Bishop Walsh is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for Northern Garrett, they will venture away from home to  face off against Turkeyfoot Valley Area  at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
