Lakeview Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 77-34 win over the Riverside Military Academy Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the defeat, Riverside Military Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore AJ Igwiloh almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. Igwiloh has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times he's played.

Riverside Military Academy is on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Lakeview Academy has already played their next game, an 86-51 victory against Monsignor Donovan Catholic on the 20th. Hopefully Riverside Military Academy paid attention to the Lions' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on December 5.
